Newcastle, on Thursday, the 21st February, at 3 o'clock In the afternoon ; arriving at Cape, Moreton on Saturday, at 4 o'clock p.m., and anchored at the bar at n quarter to 7 o'clock the lime evening, coming uj> to the wharf at 830 ..m, on 8und«y. During the passage had light northerly winds and fine pleasant weather, with a »mooth nea. February 21, at 5 p.m., off Port Stephens, passed the steamer Grafton, from the Clarence Uiver, bound to Sydney.

' The Breadalbane, after returning from Ipswich yesterday, went down to the Bay for the purpose of lightening the Gracia. This lutter vessel draw- ing 13a feet of water, will require to he lightened of some of lier cargo before she rim cross the bar and come up to the wharf. We have not as yet received her manifest, but hope to du so hy the return of

the steamer.

. The Bonnie Doon will be ready fur sea on Thurs- day, and will probably be towed into the Bay by

the Breadalbane.

The GRACIA.-We have been informed that this vessel had arrived in the bay on Sunday. She is loaded with grain for Mr. Fleming of the Bremer Mills, mid has been out over 50 days from

Adelaide.

The Bessie cleared ontwnrds from London for this port on the I5tb December.

. STKAXKKS FOB IPSWICH.-Leaving the A S.N. Co.'s wharf-Brisbane, this day, nt half-past 10 o'clock forenoon; Ipswich, Wednesday, 11 o'clock fore-

noon ; and on Friday at noon.

. TUB DIAHANTMA.-Advices have been received by the matt of the completion of the iron paddle steamer Diamantina, for the A.S.N. Company, in- tended for the trade between Brisbane and the Northern ports of Queensland. The Diamantina, which was built ut Newcastle, by Messrs. R. Stephenson and Co., is fitted with Rowan's patent engine*, a description of which recently appeared in this journal. One great advantage of these en- able» is the small amount of coal they will con sumo, as a proof of which it may be stated that while the steamer is of 250 horso power, tho con sumption of coal will not exceed four tons during twenty-four hour»' steaming. The Diamantina had been launched at Low Walker, mid a very suc- cessful trial trip lind been made ; it was expected that she would leave for Sydney early in .i>nu.i>y. .me name-Uianiantina-given to'u steamer in- tended to ply between the parts ol' Queensland, is that of Lady Bowen, who was a native of one of the - Ionian Island*.-' S.
