ARCHDUKE ALBRECHT DIVORCED
Renounced Royal Rights For Bride BUDAPEST, June 2.
The Archduke Albrecht of Austria, who renounced his claim to the Haps- burg Throne in 1930, when he married, morganaticallv. Madame May Irene
Lelbach at Brighton, has been divorced on the petition of his wife, who was granted the title Duchess of Teschen. The Archduke intends to tour America, piloting his own plane. [Archduke Albrecht, who is just un- der 40 years of age, is the only son of the Archduke Friedrich and Princess Isabella of Troy. After the collapse of the Dual Monarchy, at the close of the Great War, the Archduke Friedrich and his family settled in Budapest. At one time Archduke Albrecht was one of the candidates for the throne of Hungary on the ground that, on his mother's side, he was a descendant of the Arpad Kings, who once ruled Hun- gary. In 1930 he renounced his claim In favour of the Archduke Otto, and secretly married Madame Rudnay, the divorced wife of the Hungarian Min- ister in Sofia. His father announced that neither the bride nor the mar- riage would ever be recognised by his branch of the family.]
