OTICE TO , CREDITORS. In the MATTE B of the ESTATE of

CHARLES PRETLOVE, Deceased.

WHEREAS on the 4th. day of October, 1898, an Order to Administer the Estate and Effects of CHARLES PRETLOVE, late of Nookawarra Station, in the Colony of Western Australia, Station Manager, deceased, who died on or about the 23rd day of May, 1898, was granted by the Supreme Court of the said oolóny, under the provisions of " The Deceased Persons Estate Act, 1883 " (47 Victoria, No. 20), to the undersigned, the Curator of Intes- tates' Estates, Perth. Now Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Ordinance 22nd and 23rd Victoria, No. 35 (adopted by 31st Victoria, No. 8), that all Creditors and other persons having CLAIMS or DEMANDS against the Estate of the said deceased, are hereby required to SEND PARTICULARS of such Claims or Demands to

the undersigned, on or before the 12th day of ' NOVEMBER now next. And further, that the undersigned will, immediately after snch data, proceed to distribute the assets of the said de- ceased among the creditors and persons entitled thereto, having regard only to those claims; of which he shall then have had notice. And the said Curator will not be liable for the assets or any part thereof so distributed or dealt with, to any person of whose claim or demand he shall

not then have received notice.

AN EXCELLENT SEED CAKE.-Tate ^Ib

butter and |lh. white sifted sugar, beat with the hand well together to a cream, add 3 eggs (one at a time) and well beat each one with the bntter and sugar, dredge in fclb. flour previously mired with one foll teaspoonful of BOBWTCK'S GOLD MEDAL BAKING POWDEB ; add ¿oz. caraway seeds and beat again for 10 minutes, bake atonco in a quick oren about one hour. This cake would be equally nice made with Jib. cur- rants instead of carawa seeds.

TO

MAKE A GOOD PLAIN CAKE. - Mix well together Uh. flour, 2 full teaspoonfuls of BOBWTCE'S GOLD MEDAL BAKING POWDEB, a little salt and spice, and a iib. of sugar ; rub in a ¿lb. of bntter, add ¿oz. of sultanas, 2oz. of currants, and I oz. of candied peel; moisten the whole with 2 eggs and half a tea-cupful of milk previ- ously beaten together; bake in a quick oven very thoroughly.

BREAD.-To every llb. o flour add a heaped

np teaspoonful of BOBWICK'B GOL\ MEDAL BAKING POWDEB, with a littJa «alt, and thoroughly mix while in a dry state, then pear on gradually about i a pint Of cold water, or muk and water, mixing quickly hut thoroughly into a dough of the usual consistence, taking care not to knead it more than is necessary to mix it perfectly, make it into small loaves, which must bl immediately put into a quick oven.
