Creagh vvüio, with her hus- band, were members of the late Ernest" Favenc 'and Lindsay Crawford's ex- ploring expedition. Mrs. Creagh did the whole trip on horseback-side- saddle, too. Since then numbers of women have crossed from Banana Land to Darwin, to wit?, Mrs. Frith land ifam ily, Mrs. Hart, and Mrs. Bohning, etc., in all sorts of conveyances, excepting
