ÎTHE NEW ORDINANCES.
The new Ordinances which have been ^ublilshied in the Commonwealth Government "Gazette provide for the abolition of juries in all trials except capital oases; for fines amounting to £50 for disturbing public meetings; de- portation of persons who refuse to pay income tax and prevention of the return of such persons to the Terri- tory. Secton II provides that: Any person who, by threats, intimidation, violence, force or any physical act, in- terferes with the right of any person jo carry on his lawful occupation; to ohlainoraccepS or continué in employ- ment ; or to obtain amy goods or services or the delivery of any goods, shall be guilty of an offence. Penalty £50 or Imprisonment for six months.
An amendment to the Town Council Ordinance definitely includes lessees of Crown Lands as "occupiers," also occupiers of any Crown Lands held under lease. "We1 tabe< it that this
