REPORTED MURDER OF WHITE MEN.
SENTENCES ON SHEEP STEALERS.

ROEBOURNE, September 21.
Another case of a native murdering his woman has been reported from Messrs. Hooley and News' Upper Station, on the Ash- burton. After committing the crime the native surrendered himself to a man named Hickson on the Lower Station at Mt. Herbert.
News has been received in town that the natives have reported to a man named True, on Messrs. MacKay Bros Marsh Station, that two white men and two native boys have been murdered about one hundred miles further inland. No information has been received of anyone being missing who has been in that locality.
Far sheep stealing and killing on Pardoo Station, three natives, previous offenders, have been sentenced to four years imprison- ment with hard labour and eighteen lashes with the cat. Four others were sentenced to two years hard labour and eighteen lashes.
