"Fake Nylon Shirls
A -spokesman for Australian, shirt, manufacturers warned to-
day ,that,counterfeit nylon shirts were "oeing sold in Australia.
The ''spokesman, Mr. H. C Christian, president of the Ap- parel Manfacttwcrs' Association of ' N.S.W., -said that the Aust- ralian public was being--fleeced by ,the sale of shirts apparently made in Hong Kongand brand- ed "100 per cent, nylon" " and 10Ó per cent du pont nylon1." .?
Mr: Christian said that chemi- cal analyses .showed that- the. shirts, contained 119 nylon and werre _acually made1''of rayon.
"Tlie shirts are being sold by retailers, both large and small Willoh suggests that enormous quantities of these fake shirts are 'being distributed," he said.
