She Travels The
World
For Three Months
A Year
An English visitor and mother of four, who is a housewife only nine months a year and travels thc world during the other three, was asked on her arrival yester- day about mixing drinks . . . "I leave that to my husband,-' she replied . .. Who wouldn't? He is thc Hon. John Gilbey, director of W. and A. Gilbey

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbey flew to Sydney for a two-month visit

-a business visit for Mr. Gilbey.
During her annual nine "housewife months" Mtg. Gil- bey stays at their home, Capel Lodge, an old farmhouse near Dirking, Surrey.
During her three "travel months" each year.Mrs. Gil- bey says she collects recipes, "mostly from France, and J like to have the opportunity of trying them out.
"However, we always man- age to be home for the child- ren's holidays."
AT BOARDING SCHOOL
Three of the children Tony (13), Penelope (ll) and Bill (9)--are at boarding
school.
The fourth, Michael (3), is in thc care of a nurse.
For her travels Mrs. Gilbey chooses green, grey, or black frocks-"mainly jersey, as they are so easy to pack, and I usually bundle everything in at the last minute."
Hats are rationed to two an easy to pack straw and a felt of some kind.
VISITORS from the north-
west of N.S.W. will bc among, the guests at thc mar- riage of Miss Patricia Price and Mr. Thomas Knight .at St. Kevin's Church, Eastwood, to-morrow morning.
The bride, who is the twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Price, of Eastwood, will have her sister, Miss Mary Price, and the bridegroom's sister, Miss Mary Knight, for
bridesmaids.
Mr. Peter Knight, with Mr. Bill Kelaher, will attend the bridegroom, who is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Knight, of Wee Waa.
THE president of the Royal
Historical Society of Aus- tralia, Mr. K. R. Kramp, will give a talk on. "The Recog- nition of Governor Phillip in England" at the Women's Pioneer Society, on,October 9, to commemorate Phillip's Day.
