No Butter Increase -Yet
-No increase in the price of butter was announced by the State Prices Minis- ters' conference today.
But it is believed that a price submitted to State Cabinets was agreed upon and will be submitted to State Cabinets next week for consideration.
The conference was called to determine a new butter price and further consider the Com- monwealth's six-year plan to stabilise the dairying industry.
The Federal Minister for Commerce and Agriculture (Mr. McEwen) said afterwards . thafc another meeting of State Prices Ministers would be held on August 24 to consider those as- pects of the plan relating to an extension of the guaranteed price for a further five years.
Mr. McEwen said comple- mentary legislation would havo to be considered .by each Gov- ernment to implement the ex- tension of the plan.
