Dwyer-Gray Memorial
Lecture Scheme
As a memorial to the late Mr E. Dwyer-Gray, it was decided at the State executive meeting of the United Nations Association in Tas- mania last night to explore the pos- sibility of public support being af- forded to the foundation of a Dwyer- Gray Memorial Lecture, to be deliv- ered annually by an eminent Aus- tralian scholar in Tasmania.
It was also suggested that school- children would be made aware of Mr Dwyer-Gray's life and work if an annual essay competition were held
in the schools.
DONATION TO SCOUTS.—The Launceston City Council last night donated £10 to the Boy Scouts' Association appeal.
