What
can we
expect?
Congratulations to The Argus for its thought-pro- voking article, "Violence on
the March."
It is futile to expect the normal behavior of teen- agers, while murder and vio- lence are exploited in comics, radio and films. Then na- tions, if not hurling dire threats at one another, are actively engaged in wars of extermination and destruc- tion, thereby creating one of the chief causes of delin- quency, the broken home.
In a world of "madness" can we blame innocent chil- dren for being corrupted by its crimes?

If a cause is worth fight- ing for it is worth* volun- teering to fight for.
If a considerable part of the Australian population supports participation in SEATO, then surely enough volunteers can be obtained to fulfil Australia's commit- ments to it.
Incidentally, do we con- script Communists of age for military service to "defend" us from Communist aggres-
sion?
