The State Government would provide land and materials to back the establishment of the Hartnett motorcar factory near Frankston if the Commonwealth Bank would share half the fin- ancial responsibility with it.
This was stated yesterday by Mr Hollway, Premier, to a depu- tation from Frankston Council urging the Government to sup- port financially the establish- ment of the factory.
The deputation said there was vacant land near the fac- tory site which could be de %*eloped for housing the workers, and the council would under- take to provide water, sewer- age, and roads.
