Fitzroy Attack Will

Be Stronger

Hoskins (fit again after injury), Coates (who came on as 19th man against Richmond), and Curtin (whose omission from that game caused surprise) have been chosen by Fitzroy.

Toohey has influenza and was not available, and Kennedy and Sier

were omitted.

The opening ruck combination has been altered so that Johnstone can be used to bolster the attack by being placed in a forward pocket. When he joins Fields in the second ruck his place will be taken by Clay. Monaghan, who opened on Saturday week.in a forward pocket, will play alongside Curtin on the half-forward

line.

DOCTOR PASSES PRICE

Price, whose knee worried him on Tuesday, was passed by the doctor, and Nicholls also trained brightly.

The attack has been greatly im- proved, there being a mixture of brawn and dash. Monaghan and Johnstone came most into the pic- ture immediately they were sent to the attack after half-time against

Richmond.

The reserves have also been changed to bring in Vandersluys and Shillinglaw, two versatile players.

Generally the training was light, but officials saw enough to convince them that the 20 players chosen are as fit as they can be made. The opinion was expressed that the players were in better form than they were in the semi-final, and there was no sign of staleness.
