POULTRY AND EGGS.
Only moderate supplies of poultry were on the market yesterday, and a strong demand existed for medium and prime roosters, which were scarce. Hens were well represented, and a steady demand existed for this class. Prime turkey gobblers were Inquired for, while the demand for hens was only fair. Fairly heavy supplies of eggs were on the markets, and the demand was only moderate. Quota- tions:-Poultry (at per pair)-Hens (coloured), 4/6 to 6/6; White Leghorn hens, 4/6 to 5/6; cockerels, 4/6 to 5/6; pullets, 4/6 to 9/; roosters, medium, 5/6 to 6/6; prime, 7/ to 9/6; English ducks, 4/ to 4/6; Muscovy ducks, 4/6 to 5/; Muscovy drakeis, 5/6 to 7/6; turken hens, 9/ to 12/; gobblers, 13/ to 25/; geese, 8/6 to 9/; pigeons. 9d. to 2/; Guinea fowls, 4/ to'5/; ducklings, 1/6 to 2/9.
Eggs:-Guaranteed special, 1/6 per dozen; farmers' special, 1/4; medium sized, 1/5; duck eggs, 1/5; case eggs, 1/3; pullet eggs. 1/3.
The Queensland Egg Board advises the following wholesale quotations: Egg cartons (Q.E.B. sealed, contain- ing one dozen choice No. 1 grade), 1/7; choice, No. 1 grade, 1/6 per dozen; No. 2, 1/5; No. 3, 1/4; No. 4, 1/3.
SYDNEY, July 4.-Egçs (board prices), hen. new laid 1/10, medium 1/7, pullet 1/5. case 1/7. Northern Rivers. South Coast, and Railways, 1/7 dozen; duck, first grade, 1,8, second grade 1/0.
