WAR MEMORIAL FOR ADELAIDE.
ADELAIDE, Thursday. - The Govern- ment town planner was instructed recently to prepare a design for the layout of the National war memorial grounds. The de- sign has now has now been approved by the Na- tional War Memorial Committee, which also decided to erect in the grounds a monument, the cost not to exceed £5,000. Competitive designs will be invited. The site selected for the memorial is at the rear of Government House. The main entrance will be from King William street, either by steps or a series of grassed ter-
races.
