THE CUMBERLAND POISONING CASE.
The Commissioner of Police has received a report through the Normanton police on the poisoning case which occurred ait Cum- berland ou the 20th instant. Two mon, named John Wilson and -Hollywood, had been drinking at the hotel, and went into one of the bedrooms and drank from a bottle of -muriatic acid in mistake. The police from Georgetown, with the' Police Magistrate and ft doctor, arrived the same day. The men were conveyed to the Georgetown Hospital, where Hollywood died on Friday night, while Wilson's re- covery is doubtful. Tho depositions of Hollywood were taken before he died.
