studios again after nearly two years, filming "Mr. Denning Drives North," a psychological thriller which Australian author Alec Coppel has adapted from his own novel of the same name. Mills has the kind of nerve ridden part in which he excels.

Michael Pate (announces Universal's London office) has been given a leading role in their Hollywood produc- tion of "The Door," starring Charles Laughton, Sally For- rest and Boris Karlofï. This is the result of Pate's perform- ance as the feeble-minded country lad in "Bonaventure," opposite Claudette Colbert and Ann Blyth.

"A TOWN LIKE ALICE," the novel by English author Nevil Shute (now living in Australia) has been bought for screening by Ealing Studios, who will start production to- wards the end of the year.
