R.A.A.F. Aides

To Queen

CANBERRA, Thursday. —Two R.A.A.F. officers have been appointed aides- de-camp to the Queen, the Minister for Air, Mr. A. Townley, announced to-day.

They are Air Commodore F. Headlam, Senior Air Staff Officer at Home Command, and Group Captain J. L. Waddy, of the R.A.A.F.

reserve.

During his career Air Com- modore Headlam commanded No. 90 Composite Wing and

the R.A.F. station at Tengah, Malaya. He was also Director of Training at Air Force Headquarters.

Group Captain Waddy was born in Sydney and joined the air force in 1940.

During World War II he was credited with having   destroyed 15½ enemy planes.
