Quite an original pat- tern has been evolved for this pretty blouse to wear with the winter suit. As may be seen from the illustration, the design consists of broad stripes contain- ing diagonal rows of little eyelets and nar- row stripes composed of plain knitting and purling.
MATERIAL: 10 oz of pearl wool, 2-ply or thin crochet wool; 2 fine, long, steel knitting-pins in a size suitable to weight of wool.
GENERAL WORKING PLAN: In order to ensure a good fit for the jumper, it is advisable to fit according to a well-cut pattern. Such a pattern can be easily made out of paper by following the accompanying diagram, which gives measurements in inches for 36-inch bust To make it larger or smaller, add or subtract the necessary number of inches.

At the 76th row, commence again with the first needle. Continue the front in this manner
Lay the work out frequently on the paper pat- tern to be sure it corresponds with it at every point.
The back is worked In the same way as the front. Commence the sleeves at the lower edge. The collar is worked widthwise.
TO MAKE UP: Stretch out all the pieces on the paper pattern, pin them down at the edges, and press under a damp cloth. Sew up seams. The lower edge of the collar is finished with a row of fringe.
