FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND.
BRISBANE, Thursday.
Heavy rain In the Ingham district last night, especially along the Herbert River, yielded re- gistrations up to seven Inches. Good falls were notified In the West Thargomindah dis- trict, which received from an inch to more than three inches. Rivers and creeks are rising.
Heavy rain in the Charleville district to-day resulted in the creeks and low-lying country being flooded. The Paroo River Is running a banker, and the railway line Is submerged near Cheepie. In the Adaville district regis- trations ranged from three to five Inches, and much damage was caused through fences being washed down. Rain Is still falling, and sheep owners are anxious for the safety of their stock near rivers and creeks.
