Tenders have closed for the erection of the new church (illustrated) for St. Andrew's parish, Roseville, but formal acceptance is being withheld by the architect (Mr. C. H. Finch), pending approval of certain formali- ties by the standing committee of the Sydney Diocesan Synod.
The new church will be erected on the corner of Bancroft-avenue and Hill-street, Roseville, In the grounds adjoining the existing church. Seating accommodation is being provided for 375 persons. The building will be 100 feet long by 32 feet wide, not in- cluding the transepts, which project a further 8 1/2 feet on either side.

chancel, baptistry, organ chamber, S.W. porch and tower and porch on the N.W. elevation. The fall in the land permits of vestries, kin- dergarten class-room, and other facilities being placed under the chancel, giving each room ample natural light.
In the main walls O.K. brick will be used for both outside and inside finishes. These will rest on rock faced stone base. Selected mottled tiles will be used in the roof. Dress- ings to windows and parapets will be in syn- thetic stone. Appropriate designs in lead lights will adorn the windows. The Internal height of the church will be 32 feet which, with the open timber roof, will give a fine
