SIR JOHN MONASH.
Memorial Forest in Palestine.
Jewry in many countries establishes me- morials to its great men by planting forests in Palestine. Australian Jews are endeavour-
ing to establish an everlasting tribute to the late Sir John Monash by planting a forest in Eretz Israel. Australian eucalypts, because of their rapid growth and wide-spreading roots, have proved themselves most suitable for afforestation purposes. The Monash Forest is to consist of 10,000 trees sent from Aus- tralia.
