A SHIP. I
-.
Her decks were lit for dancing,
Where the ferries ply underneath the starlight
Of the kind home sky. 1 thought ol far horizons
And lone reel and bar,
And of palm-grown beaches
Where the brown men are:
Of flying-fish and shark's fin,
And nautilus a-sall,
. Or-of wet decks tuting
In the nor'west gale. Her brave bows lifting
To a foam-blind sea , . .
Her decks were lit for dancing,
By the wide, gay quay
