MR. G. H. GREENWOOD.
The death Is announced of Mr. George Henry Greenwood, solicitor, of High-street, Kogarah, and formerly of Dowling-street, Redfern. Bom in Sydney in 1846, Mr. Greenwood prac- tised his profession in King-street, until his retirement 25 years ago. As a young man he was a prominent member of the Redfern Cricket Club, and secured the batting aver- ages for the seasons in the early seventies. In middle age he took a keen interest in local government, and was returned as an alder- man for the Waterloo Council on three succes- sive triennial elections, aggregating nine years, during which time he occupied the Mayoral chair. In Masonic affairs he was one of the foundation members of the lodge Zet- land. His wife predeceased him 23 years ago.
