MOTOR CAR FATALITY.

On a charge of having maliciously murdered Mrs. Ada Caroline Nowitzki, 51, of Myrtle-street, city, on the night of July 19, a motor-driver named Joseph Gerald Bellotti, aged 26, appeared at the Central Police
Court yesterday. Sergeant Spyer, police prosecutor,
in asking for a remand for eight days, said that it was alleged that between 10 and 11 o'clock on Mon-
day night, the accused was driving a motor car along George-street, at a high speed, when Mrs. Nowitzki, who was crossing the roadway with her husband and a friend, was knocked down and killed. It was said that Bellotti continued on his way after
the accident.
The accused was remanded until July 28, bail being
