CHURCH OP ENGLAND
NEW SCHOOL CHAPEL
DEDICATED.
The Archbishop of Sydney, Dr. Wright, yes- terday afternoon dedicated a now school chapel, erected In connection with St. Gab- riel's Girls' School, Waverley, which 1b under the auspices of the Sisters of the Church. The building was commenced in November last. Immediately after the signing of the armistice, and has been erected as a memorial of Sisters Stella and Irene. It iff pleasantly situated in the picturesque school grounds, arid the -architects have had constructed a chapel, which harmonises with the surround- ings.
The Archbishop conducted the dedication service, and In the course of a brief address, said Christ expected His followers to-day to hear and obey His message In the ordinary duties of every-day life. But It was also well that special places should be set apart *br prayer and meditation, and never were their comfort and consolation more required than in the present period of stress and doubt and .difficulty. Hence a chapel like that one would undoubtedly play a great and perman-
ent part in the lives of the school girls of St. I
Gabriel. I
