MEMORIAL SERVICE.
WAGGA WAGGA, Sunday.
A memorial service for the late Private Palazzi, killed in South Africa, was held in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church to-day. There was an im- posing military display, members of G Company, with a large quota of Reservists and cadets, march- ing to the church headed by the band playing the " Dead March." The congregation, which included representatives of other churches, with the military, crowded the commodious edifice, The service was most impressive, the musical portion being feelingly rendered. The Rev. Father Slattery preached an eloquent and appropriate discourse.
