The friends of the. Rev. Father II. Devine, of Tumut, will regret to learn of the death of his father, Mr. Thomas Devine, which occurred at Albury last Monday, The late Mr Devine was for many years in the employ of the N.S. W. Railway Department (permanent

way branch), and resided at Ettamogah near Albury. Jle. retired from the ser vice of the Department last year, and has since resided with his wife and family in Albury. The News was an nounced to the parishioners at one of the morning Mission Services, and Be quiem Masses were solemnised for the departed. Father Devine departed by Mr Hogan's motor car on Tuesday, to be present at the graveside. Mr Hogan, who is always willing to oblige where possible, undertook the trip despite the bad state of the roads. A stoppage of three hours occurred at Wagga to re pair a mishap to the car. The parties arrived at Albury at 12 o'clock that night.
