Wedding.
SCARR—FRANKLIN.
A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday last, when Miss Etha (Ettie) E. Franklin, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J D Franklin was united in the bonds of matrimony to Mr. A H Scarr, second son of Mr. and Mrs. R Scarr, of Millthorpe. The bride, who was given away by her father, was at- tired in a beautiful gown of ivory crepe de chine, with overdress of ninon and pearl trimmings, the full court train being bordered with true lovers' knots and orange blos- soms. She wore the customary wreath and veil and carried a shower bouquet of tuber roses and asparagus fern which, together with a three-bar gold bangle and ruby necklet, were the gift of the bride-
groom. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links. The bridesmaids were Misses M and H Franklin, sisters of the bride, and they wore ivory pailette silk, trimmed with silk lace, and wide vieux rose belts ; white hats and feathers to match. They both
wore gold brooches, studded with rubies, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. G Scarr, brother of the bride- groom, acted as best man.
Breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, and the usual toasts were honored. The happy couple left by car for their future
home, the bride wearing a costume of saxe blue, with hat to match,
and Russian sable furs.
Numerous presents, including cheques, were received.
As we go to press the public school concert is being held. A re- port will appear in our next issue.
