ACTOR'S BRAVERY

RECOGNITION BY SOCIETY Kennel to be Dedicated

In recognition of the bravery of Mr Robert Capron, the American actor, who was drowned in the Yarra at Warrandyte on Sunday while he was rescuing a fox terrier puppy, eight months old, the Society for the Protection of Animals pro- poses to dedicate a kennel at the George Bills Kennels, Preston, in his memory. The Royal Humane Society will ask for a report on the action of Mr. Peter Finch, juvenile lead in the theatrical company of which Mr. Capron was a member, with a view to recognising his bravery in diving to the

rescue of his friend.

Police at Warrandyte continued their search for the body yesterday, but because the river is in flood dragging operations are at present impossible. The banks of the stream for a considerable distance have been thoroughly searched without

success.

At the performance of "So This Is Holy wood" at the Apollo Theatre last night, Mr. Peter Finch and also Mr. Barrett Lennard (who succeeded Mr. Robert Capron as Eddie Trafford at less than 24 hours' notice) were warmly applauded during and at the conclusion of the en-

tertainment.
