New Regulations
CANBERRA, Thursday. - Regulations made to-day prohibit members of the R.A.A.F. taking part in political move- ments in the same way that the partici- pation by members of the military forces in such movements was forbidden last year. The regulations provide that no member of the Air Force may attend in uniform and no Air Force Band may play at any meeting, demonstration, or pro- cession for religious or political purposes, except funerals or religious services or religious, charitable gatherings approved by the Air Board.
Permanent members of the Air Force are prohibited from taking an active part in political or municipal organisations, either by public speaking or by publishing or distributing literature. Members of the citizen Air Force are forbidden to use their service rank in any such move- ments, except as properly nominated can- didates for election to an Australian
Parliament
