WEDDING
TODD—CRAIN
AT the residence of the bride's mother, on March 25, a quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised by Rev. S. W. Bonner (Methodist), the contracting parties being Miss Florence (Florrie) Matilda, third daughter of Mrs. John Crain, of Adelong, and Mr. James, of Emma- ville, eldest son of Mr. Thomas Todd. The bride was becomingly dressed in cream silk ninon, trim- med with silk insertion and all over lace ; and was given away by her uncle, Mr. Andrew Crain, of Mt. Adrah. Miss Jessie Crain, at- tired in cream basket cloth, trim- med with silk braid and all-over lace, acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. Harold Crain (brother of the bride) performed the duties of best man. At the conclusion ot the ceremony the bridal party sat down to a nicely prepared dejeuner, and partook of a handsomely-decorated wedding cake presented by the bride's mother. The toast of the bride and bride- goom's health was proposed by the rev. chairman, who spoke eulogisti- cally of the amiable qualities of the bride and wished the young couple every happiness and God's blessing in their wedded life. The bride- groom fittingly responded. Other toasts were also honored. The bride and bridegroom left by the afternoon train for Sydney where the honeymoon will be spent, and they afterwards go on to Emmaville, their future home. They were ac- companied to the Mt. Horeb rail- way station by a calvacade of well- wishers. The bride's travelling dress was of navy serge, trimmed
with silk braid and over-all lace.
