THREE KILLED BY
TRAIN
Queensland Collision
BRISBANE. Tuesday - Three persons were killed in a collision between a utility truck and a train at a level-crossing near Tolga this morning. They were:- William Auld, aged 59 years, maize farmer of Rocky Creek ; his wife Anna May Auld ; and their daughter, Isabel Olga Auld, aged
21 years.
The truck was carried for about 170 yards in front of the engine, and smashed to matchwood. Auld and his daughter were killed Instantly. Mrs. Auld was con- scious when assistance arrived, but she died in the Atherton Hospital this even- ing.
