THE FINANCES OF TOE SEASON.
DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS. '

The Secretary announced that a letter had been receive from the Adelaide league, agreeing to allow the Collingwood team £150 expenses for the visit to South Australia. The team leave by the Adelaide express to day, and will return to Mel- bourne on Tuesday next
In connection with members tickets delegates pointed out that a good many frauds had been committed, and the work of the check-takers greatly increased by indifferent printing. A sub- committee was appointed to deal with the matter, and the secretaries of Hie various clubs will be visited to submit designs to the league for their
next year's tickets.
The financial statement showed that the proceeds from the finals and semi-finals were, after deduct- ing expenses, E4,360/2/6. To this Collingwood- Essendon matches contributed £587; Carlton-South Melbourne, £1, 314; Collingwood-South Melbourne £1,314; and Collingwood-Carlton, £1,216. After deducting the league levy (£670), the grant to the Sydney schoolboys (£110), the charity vote (£349),
and other charges, there will be £2,742 available for distribution to the clubs. The allocation is as follows:--Carlton, £287; Collingwood,£300; Es- sondon £245; Fitzroy, £272; Geelong, £269; Mel- bourne, £297; Richmond, £727; South Melbourne, £250; St kilda, £2113; University, £267.
The charity vote will be distributed as follows:-- Geelong charities, £34/18/; Melbourne Hospital, £160; Alfred Hospital £10/10/; Homeopathic Hospital, £10/10/; Women's Hospital, £10/10
Children's Hospital, £10/10/; Austin Hospital, £10/10; st.
