OBITUARY
MRS. EMILY BYE
It is with regret that we record the death of Mrs. Emily Bye, which took
place early on Thursday morning, at the age of 97 years, at the Bourke Dis-
trict Hospital.
The deceased had enjoyed good health right throughout her long life, with the excep- tion of the past year.
Born in Birmingham, En- gland, the deceased came with her parents to Australia, when she was 15 years of age. Her people were pioneers in the dried fruit industry in the Mil- dura area. Some 20 years ago she came to N.S.W. to reside.
The deceased leaves a grown up family of three sons and three daughters, viz.. Arthur Munn (Bourke), Albert (Nyah), Murray (Cobura), Mrs. Myrtle Buchecker (Mildura), Mrs. Violet Carter (Mildura), and Mrs. Gertrude Rodgers (of
Melbourne).
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon and the remains were placed to rest in the Church of England por- tion of the Cemetery, Mr. Tim Anderson conducting the last sad rites at the graveside.
To the relatives we extend our sincere sympathy.
