The National Library of Australia holds two appeals each year to raise funds in support of selected projects. Past appeals have included preserving our medieval manuscripts, Treasures Gallery access programs and stabilising a rare 350-year-old map of Australia by cartographer Joan Blaeu. This year it’s Trove’s turn!

Trove is celebrating its fifth birthday in 2014. Its development and maintenance has been funded by the National Library without additional appropriation from government. This appeal is your chance to contribute to Trove’s future.

In the past five years Trove has grown to include many millions of resources drawn from organisations around Australia. It has become the heart of a passionate and generous community of users who help us enrich those resources. In 2015 we’re already planning a number of exciting developments including:

  • Chinese language newspapers from the Victorian goldfields;
  • More digitised content from the National Library’s own collection; and
  • An updated, mobile-friendly interface to the newspapers collection.

Help us continue to improve and enlarge Trove by donating to the Library’s end of year appeal.

This appeal will close on 28 February 2015, but you can donate at any time to The National Library of Australia Fund.
