    Praise for Trove

I just happened to be reading a recently published novel "A Stranger in my Street" by Deborah Burrows, a Australian murder mystery set in Perth in WW2.

As well as being quite a good story, at the end of the book, there were some acknowledgements etc including:

"One resource that no Australian social historian can afford to ignore is Trove, the marvellous National Library of Australia site, which includes an extensive collection of digitised Australian newspapers"

Thanks for making this comment. I'd very much like to second it. While we might privately rave about how terrific TROVE is, we don't acknowledge enough on a public forum the wonderful and versatile resource that is being created and maintained.

Indeed, I think positive public feedback helps the case for further funding of Trove, so keep them rolling in.

I just found this site by pure accident and I so happy that I did. I like to research or read about certain subjects and the digitized (is that the right word) copies of the newspapers etc are fabulous. A wealth of information that years ago would be impossible to find without moving into a library. Thank you trove.

I also happened to stumble upon Trove. I'm surprised it isn't more well known than it already is! I'm looking forward to connecting with the Trove community

Where does the funding for Trove come from?

Agree...I'm in the UK and it's a shame we don't have a website that's so comprehensive.

    Keep up the good work
